Knots
Many people don’t take the time to learn how to properly tie knots. It may not seem like it is worth the effort. Learning how to tie knots and knowing which one to use will save you a lot of trouble and may even save your life. If you put in the minimal effort to learn how to tie them correctly it will pay off.

The square knot is probably the first you will learn. It is one of the simplest you could learn and is a good place to start. After that you are going to want to move on to the four basic maritime knots.
